Cyne 59 Productions presents the Panel of Season One of their new web series entitled "Women In Film".
This Female Filmmaker Roundtable web series is about female filmmakers discussing topics such as feminism, gender inequality, the film industry, struggles of being a filmmaker, image, expectations, sexism, diversity, among many others.
Jenny Paul is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA/AEA. New York theater credits include: Proof, Other Desert Cities, Holy Cows of Credence South Dakota (Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical), Taming of the Shrew, Set Break, Destiny, Madam Fury's Traveling Show, Funny Girl, 'Helen of Troy' in Corigliano's Elegy, Across A Crowded Room (Lincoln Center) and Go Go Beach (Kennedy Ce...nter - DC). She also appeared in films: Bad Samaritan, Baby Showers, Freedom Fighter, Peanut Butter, Muse, Anastasia (International Festival Selection) and Green Garden--(International Festival Selection), is currently shooting feature Running in Reverse and is the Executive Producer, Edit Director and lead, Janie, in an original web series sitcom That Reminds Me... She has also produced, directed, and consulted on a handful of other projects and indie series.
Meet Natalie Romero!
NATALIE ROMERO (Producer) began her career as a stage actress for over half a decade while living in Puerto Rico. During her brief career as a producer, she has been delighted to work for independent production house The Vladar Company where she plays her role as associate producer, successfully releasing two feature documentaries Jeremy Scott: The People's Designer and CT Fl...etcher: My Magnificent Obsession. Most recently she returned back to her theater roots to produce under The Vladar Company an Off Broadway production Believe at The Soho Playhouse. In addition, she has contributed as a producer on the Generation Iron Podcast for CBS owned Play It. Natalie continues to broaden her career by assisting as producer/coordinator to a multitude of films currently in development.
Meet Chelsea B. Lockie!
Chelsea B. Lockie hails from Elko, NV, the home of Cowboy Poetry. She received her BA in Stage and Screen Acting from UNLV and has been pursuing her passion for the direction, development, and performance of new work for theatre and film for the last 6 years in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and NYC. She is a founding member of Studio 1945 (NYC), and directed the company’s first featu...re length film, The Cold Trap. Other New York Directing credits include: Crumble (Lay Me Down Justin Timberlake) (EagerRisk Theatre), Come & Take It (EagerRisk Theatre), In the Basement (world premiere, Nu10 Play Festival), Flies & Dust (Golden Fleece). Los Angeles and Las Vegas credits include: Resurrecting Sin City (Adelaide Fringe Festival), An Arctic Tale (asst. dir., North by South LA), A Christmas Unwrapped (world premiere), and The Christmas Cat (North by South LA), The Prince Charming Complex (world premiere, UNLV), Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead (UNLV), and Fool for Love (asst. dir., Nevada Conservatory Theatre). She is currently an MFA Candidate in Directing at The Actors Studio Drama School where her favorite credits include The Lover, and The Lesson. Meet Isabella Peralta!
Isabella Peralta is a New York native artist with a focus on acting and production. She recently appeared in SEXUAL PERVERSITY IN CHICAGO, IN THE HEIGHTS and Off Broadway in Kai Greene's BELIEVE. The Production Manager of the Off Broadway show COMFORT WOMEN - A New Musical. Isabella involvement in film includes: "Red i" winner of the Cedar Rapids Film Festival and made her directorial debut on the film "Date Night". She is a Producer with Last Slice Pictures and a Co-founder of a the New Project. Her dreams are to expand theater and film, bringing more diversity and understanding to the lives of people.
Meet Natalia Plaza!
Natalia is an actor, comedian, writer and producer. She has been studying at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre since 2011. Most notably, Natalia won third place in the NBC UCBT Diversity Scholarship Showcase in 2015, and cocreated two seasons of the NPR Fresh Air parody, "Cultural Icons with Elliot & Ondine", a comedy podcast. Natalia is currently studying at the William Es...per Studio under Senior Professor, Suzanne Esper. The following are her most notable theatrical credits. Off-Broadway: Othello (Emilia), Dorothy in Oz. Off Off-Broadway: The School for Husbands (Lisette), Uncommon Women and Others (Carter). Natalia is honored to be apart of this panel, and although she is a die-hard feminist, she does not claim to be an expert on feminism. However, she believes expertise is not required when sharing one's experiences and ideas, as long as one's mind and ears are open...
